Brius Technologies, an orthodontic technology and medical device manufacturer, announces the launch of the Brava® Plus System, the next evolution of its innovative teeth straightening system that uses Independent Movers® technology to treat orthodontic patients from the back of the teeth where it’s hidden from view. “We’ve redesigned each component of the Brava System for clinical efficiency, ease of use and patient comfort”, says Lea Ellermeier, CEO, Brius Technologies. On March 4, 2024, all cases submitted to Brius Technologies will be designed and fabricated with the new Brava Plus System.

Featuring the world’s first self-engaging brackets, Brava Plus combines the treatment efficiency of Independent Movers® with simplified insertion and engagement. The newly designed spring-lock feature housed inside each Brava Plus bracket makes it self-engaging, which prevents disengagement and ensures continuous, uninterrupted tooth movement.

“Once engaged, Independent Movers straighten teeth gently and simultaneously in all six degrees of freedom following the doctor’s treatment plan” says Ruedger Rubbert, Chief Technology Officer at Brius Technologies. “Not only is Brava Plus easier to use chairside, but it can also shorten treatment time and reduce office visits.”

With patient comfort in mind, Brava Plus brackets now feature a smooth surface designed to enhance the patient’s experience throughout treatment. The Independent Movers are also designed for comfort using a soft coating applied to the anchorage base that protects the tongue while the preprogrammed arms deliver fast results.

“Brava Plus is the next leap forward in aesthetic orthodontic treatment” says Joe Breeland, Chief Commercial Officer, Brius Technologies. “With this release, Brava Plus overcomes the historical challenges of working on the lingual side of the teeth, delivering a big ‘Plus’ for the practice and their patients who are searching for a compliance-free alternative to aligners.”
